State Bank has named Renee Hargraves as its new SVP, Director of Operations. This mission-critical leadership role drives the efficiency, accuracy, and strategic growth of the bank’s core business. Overseeing both loan and deposit operations, Hargraves will ensure seamless daily execution while advancing process improvements that enhance compliance, elevate customer experience, and support long-term expansion. By aligning operational performance with organizational goals, the Director of Operations serves as a catalyst for innovation, accountability, and operational excellence across the institution.

To further position the bank for sustained growth and innovation, Executive Vice President Gretchen Patterson has been appointed as State Bank’s first Chief Strategy Officer. In this pivotal role, Patterson will guide and coordinate strategic initiatives across the organization, ensuring the bank continues to evolve with the needs of its customers and communities. Her responsibilities include leading new product development, strengthening project management discipline, and optimizing systems and processes to improve efficiency and scalability. A lifelong banker with extensive cross-departmental experience, Patterson brings a deep understanding of both operational performance and customer impact. She will ensure key initiatives are thoughtfully designed, fully resourced, and executed on time and within budget—driving the bank’s ability to innovate in a rapidly changing financial landscape.
