Avon, IN — State Bank is pleased to announce the appointment of Gary Passwater as Branch Manager of its Avon, Indiana branch. Gary brings more than a decade of leadership experience in retail banking, business development, and team management, along with a strong track record of driving growth and building lasting customer and community relationships.
Gary joins State Bank with over 10 years of progressive banking experience, most recently serving as banking center manager for a large multi-state financial institution. In that role, he led one of Central Indiana’s flagship banking centers with more than $100 million in deposits, overseeing daily operations, sales strategy, and regulatory compliance while developing a high-performing team. His leadership consistently resulted in strong deposit and loan growth, successful audits, and expanded market presence.
Throughout his career, Gary has demonstrated expertise in consumer and small business lending, including SBA programs, as well as business development, outside calling, and cross-selling financial solutions. He has been recognized multiple times as a top producer in consumer and small business lending and has earned numerous performance awards for his results-driven approach and commitment to excellence.

Gary holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Management from Oakland City University. He is NMLS registered and a licensed Notary Public.
